The graphics on my blog

In 1997 we got internet and I loved to surf the web, visit homepages and read about the life of others, most of them living thousands of kilometers from here. The world really became a small world. I was on MIRC en ICQ (I still have a little notebook with the names and numbers of my friends). After a while I thought it would be nice to make a homepage for our family. Back then we were still a family; mom, dad, 2 girls and lots of pets. I learned myself HTML and created a page for every member in our family and more, typing all the codes in wordpad. No nifty program to do that for me.
Hahaha, and everything in 'comic sans MS' font.

The satisfaction when I uploaded (with a FTP-program) my first page with one (!) icon to the server just to see if it worked and it did! It was trial and error but it was so much fun when I succeeded to add music to a page, or creating pages using tables with 3 (or more) borders with different backgrounds. Learning about colorcodes and 'no right click' codes etc.
It was fun to surf the web looking for matching images to add on those pages. And I collected hundreds of them. Lots of different folders are on my old external hard drive.
I even had an image for every guinea pig :-)

Peanut (=son of Punkie)

On every page I gave credit to the artist who made the graphics used on that page. I looked for some of the sites, many of them do not exist anymore.

Now about the images on this blog; I really do not remember who made them. If you come along and you see an image and think "hey, that's mine". And if you want me to give credit for them, I will do that. Just let me know (if you have a cute little button to go with the link that would be nice too :-)

Welcome!

Welcome to my new blog.
I am going to post here about my life, my hobbies and of course my cat!
My cat Wizzie.
He is always around, whether I am at the computer, folding laundry, doing dishes, always. I think he simply does not like it when my attention is on something else.

And MA, that's me.
I am a 'ma', I have 2 daughters. But actually MA are my initials.

"Why are you typing? I need some attention!"
