Welcome to my blog.

I live in the Netherlands, in a small town near Rotterdam.

Here is a map of the Netherlands:

On the east there is Germany, south is Belgium (and more south France), west there is the North Sea and on the other side of the sea there is England.

Here is a map of Europe. The Netherlands is just a tiny country.

I work as a medical assistant/secretary in a hospital.
I have two grown-up daughters, they do not live with me anymore. I know it is the way it goes, but I was really really sad when they left home!
So now it is just me and my cat: Wizzie. We got him from the animal shelter when he was a little kitten.

What I like: the color green, winter, grilled chicken, Italian or cookiedough ice-cream, Delft blue, doing Netflix marathons, going out for dinner, all animals except insects, going to sleep when there are clean sheets on my bed, the smell of clean laundry dried outside, crochet and other crafts.

Also I like being Dutch and living in the Netherlands. It might be a small country, with perhaps too many people living close to each other, but it is a free country, well organized, health care and education for everyone etc. And if 2 people fight in a marriage what do you expect from 16 million people living in a small space?!

Some of those graphics were inspired by tableware which is called 'boerenbont'. And I have lots of those dishes and mugs etc in my cupboard.
